Here are a few things to consider when selecting the right K9 vest to order.
Protection level
Aim to buy a threat level 2 ballistic vest. The ballistic threat level 2 offers quality protection over the level 2A basic protection.
Comfort
The design of the vest should not interfere with the dog’s mobility. Ask for references and if the vest has been wear-tested.
Weight
Look for a vest that weighs between three and four pounds.
Quality
Make sure that the vest you’re purchasing is of high quality ballistic material and is not a used vest. New vests come with a warranty of five years.
Price
Be careful that lower prices may sometimes mean fewer layers of ballistic protection. Remember that level 2 ballistic protection is what's recommended. Click here for pricing for a K9-One vest.
